I've been single for two years now and divorced my husband last December. I love to laugh and enjoy intellectual conversation on a wide range of topics. I'm an English teacher at a huge comprehensive school and I have a thirst for wider knowledge and experiences. I love all kinds of music, particularly blues, and enjoy reminiscing to 60s - 80s bands as well as keeping current. I love the "great outdoors" - camping, camp fires, countryside, the sea ... any and all of nature's wonders ... and am fortunate to have a small circle of like minded friends with whom to indulge the gypsy in me. Living in East London, I am lucky in that I can easily get into the city too which means I can indulge in anything from mudlarking to exploring the history of our capital city. I enjoy real ale and good food, though I'm what people euphemistically used to call a "plain cook" myself. I have a large, noisy family as well as two rescue dogs and an elderly cat, so life can get quite loud and hectic on occasion! I love science fiction and fantasy and dabble a bit as a writer, I have a passable singing voice and enjoy dancing, especially at live music events. I am quite well travelled, though have a bucket list of about a thousand places I still want to see, and a passion for travelling by train -especially steam (geek, I know!) |
