Just updated this profile as I cannot seem to disable it, but I am no longer a full member and I have not been so for some time!
In fact, I am studying a masters in theology and am a Christian, (more in the vein of Blake or Steiner than Augustine or Aquinas) as I see that my profile appears to be entwined in some sort of time warp, thus I have altered it.
I will leave the rest as it is pertinent but futile really (there's a little paradox!)
I have always been drawn to the esoteric and spiritual, and held profound reverence for nature too.
I live in Cheltenham with my delightful 13 year old son and our sweet-natured but wilful maine coon cat. I have many passions which include writing, philosophy and many things vintage. I also enjoy painting vintage furniture (reasonably), dancing (so so), drawing (badly). I like the Pre Raphaelites, surrealism, vintage china, clothing and ephemera, cats, nature, museums and tea rooms, ancient wisdom and spirituality, druidry, celtic shamanism, and a host of other interests!
I have always been a hippy at heart and am fascinated by all sorts of strands of spirituality and how they ultimately connect. I am currently studying religion and philosophy and one aspect which shines above all is the manner in which the mystical traditions converge as one at their root. I am particularly drawn to Gnostic Christianity, Wicca, druidry, Hermeticism and other branches of white magic in particular.
