I absolutely love life, I'm very optimistic, passionate about helping others & I have trouble dealing with negative people. I love my kids & spent a lot of their younger years as a house husband.
My taste in music is huge, in fact music, both playing and listening, is probably my biggest passion in my life after my kids.
I'm a semi pro musician that plays a range of instruments in a couple of different bands. My primary instrument is bass guitar and I play in a funk/soul/blues/dance and classic rock bands. I think music touches our primitive mind and emotions and can do things from making our foot self consciously tap to bringing out all kinds of memories & feelings that we felt in the past.
My other passion is the environment and I try to help improve it in my own small way. I have a PhD in renewable energy & I used to lecture in energy and enjoyed teaching school kids about their world and how they can do small things to improve it! I could always tell where my kids were in the house by following the trail of left on lights, so they listened!
I'm also passionate about archaeology and working with wood and am attending a woodwork course and combining the two by currently building a Saxon Grubenhaus (look it up!). |
