Well now,been on this site a while and the silence is so deafening I thought I'd try a couple more dating sites for a week or two just to compare them,and guess what?...they're all the same
On the whole nobody talks,just keep looking at profiles..occasionally you may get a bit of a conversation,but this dries up after a couple of messages as the other person shows little interest in the conversation,despite often being the one to get in touch first,they may have decided the other person is not right for them,but how do they know without making the effort to get to know them
Been wondering why people join a dating site then make no real effort to find someone..one idea I had is that people are treating this like shopping at Amazon,just look at profiles until the infallable internet puts just what you want in front of you
Another idea is that some people may believe they want to meet someone,but deep down they actually don't,so look at profiles but don't message/reply,or quickly kill a conversation,or meet and say they want to see each other again but it never actually happens
On quite a few sites some people talk about 'thier type'...now maybe I'm stating the bleeding obvious here,but when someone has spent thier life in relationships with 'thier type'and is still single then maybe'thier type'is not actually thier type after all..so many on these sites seem to be looking for what they want,an ideal,a fantasy,instead of what they need in life
As you may have guessed,I don't have any faith in sites like this,but may add more thoughts on them as they occur to me
