Being an exuberant, funloving, Italian-Celtic type, passion comes very easily to me. Travel must top my list of worthwhile endeavours.The past 41 years have certainly been an eventful ride taking in life in 4 countries, 12 cities and picking up 4 languages and a serious love of fun on the way. I do get passionate about skiing, oenology (yes, that is a word), animated conversation, art, even bad art; politics, people with a strong sense of living in the present, music (I cannot live without choons), clearly I am also madly passionate about women, other more esoteric endeavours like psychogeography, gnosticism, tarot are also sloshing around in my subconscious somewhere.
I am hovering expectantly somewhere on the road from my gnostic beliefs and paganism. It's a very short journey, which I may make, or perhaps I will settle for a syncretic world-view.
I am quirky, I know this from experience, and experience has taught me that being slightly off-centre is something to uphold and be proud of. That doesn't mean that I am all-over-the-show weird and unsociable. Not remotely. Quite the opposite actually. It just means that I have one foot in nature and the other planted (if you can plant feet), in a heady urban brew of underground culture, activism and espresso martinis. |
