Rather than write this myself, I asked a friend, so here goes what my best friend has to say:
Ok, I have known this guy for some time to say the least, so let’s try and do this systematically:
Nature: Generous to a fault – if someone says they need help with something he’ll always be the first to offer, often at the expense of something he should be doing himself. He comes across as quite outgoing, but be warned that this does hide a shyness that is doubtless a contributing factor to him being single. He won’t openly admit it, but he’s unusually sensitive for a bloke, and a closet die hard romantic. If you’re into playing dating games with 10 guys at once, this isn’t the man for you – but if you’re looking for commitment and loyalty then you should definitely ask for an application form. Confident, kind, loyal and passionate (about many subjects). And of course, he’s a witch, which is probably why he’s let me put him on here as opposed to any other site.
Hobbies: Scuba diving is the main one - as an affirmation of his aforementioned nature, let me tell you that he helps to teach disabled people to dive (he has a motto of ‘those who can should help those who can’t’). Plays guitar (with occasional singing on top), little bit of rock climbing, and usually a week away with myself each year for a bit of snowboarding. Able to turn his hand to just about anything, usually annoyingly well. Pretty good on the DIY front as well, although I won’t appreciate it if you get in touch with him just to have your shelves fixed! Oh, and he has a bit of a thing for old British sports cars too. The really good news is that he won’t make a football widow of you – he doesn’t watch it.
Kitchen: Rattles the old pots and pans rather well. I won’t call him an expert in the kitchen, but you certainly won’t have to fear the old cliché of women doing all the cooking – he simply enjoys it too much to let you.
Work: Holds down a pretty decent job in senior management, and has made something of himself, although he would be the last to admit it.
Home: He moved out to West Berkshire last year for the dream house and country living, so if you’re into sharing open fires this is the man for you. He’s a complete animal lover, although current status doesn’t allow for a pet. Massively eco-conscious too – don’t let him catch you not recycling that bottle.
Personal Life: Has a small but loyal circle of friends who care for him, and vice versa. Rest assured he’ll doubtless fit in to your social life too, although you may need to support him initially whilst he gets to know people.
He may not agree with me, but I think this man would benefit from a fairly firm hand – not aggressive, but a kind touch just to remind him to be careful from time to time.
As you’ll see from the shot, unusually good build for age and not the ugliest man on the planet (sorry about the photo – it’s the only one I could find – the open shirt is down to heat on holiday, not ego). Overall, he’s a catch waiting to be caught. I just hope he can overcome the shyness long enough to drop someone a line – believe me, if you get an email from him you should take note of how impressed he must have been with your profile. You know, it may be better if you dropped him a line and forced his hand. It’ll be worth it.
